AI for accountants who'd rather not be reconciling at midnight.
AI for accountants and advisory firms in New Zealand and Australia. We take the routine layer off the firm's year, from month-end to the billing chase, so senior people get back to the advice clients actually pay for.
Your senior accountants aren't advisers. They're a drafting service.
Accounting firms run on senior time, and senior time gets eaten by the routine: answering the same client question for the fortieth time in tax season, drafting the compliance covering letter, pulling a client's file before a meeting, writing the notes afterwards, chasing the fees.
The juniors should be doing it, but the bench is shallow, training is slow, and a routine error in compliance work lands on the client and on the firm's name. So the top brass end up the only people trusted with it, doing work at a rate the firm can't recover. More graduate hires won't fix it in time: they won't be ready for two years, and the lift is needed this season. The fix is a brain that handles the routine layer to your standard, with a senior reviewing everything that reaches a client.
AI for accountants, built around the firm's year.
An accounting firm's work runs to a calendar, and the routine layer follows it. Here is where the install takes the weight, period by period.
Month-end
Reads Xero after the close, flags unreconciled items and odd coding, and drafts the management report commentary for a senior to check. The numbers stay in the ledger; the brain writes the first pass.
GST and compliance
Prepares the workpaper notes, the client query list and the covering letter for each GST period and each set of annual accounts. Nothing is filed or lodged without a person.
Tax season
Answers the routine client questions by email and on the phone line, chases the missing records, and passes anything that needs judgement to the right accountant with the file attached.
Engagement letters
Drafts the letter from the firm's templates and the scope agreed on the call, sends it for signature and opens the client file when it comes back.
Workpapers
Keeps the file current as the job moves: what changed since last year, what is still outstanding, what the client said. The reviewer opens a file that already explains itself.
Drafting, client briefs, billing chase. Built around how your firm works.
Underneath the calendar sit three layers. A typical install for an accounting firm puts all three live at handover, alongside the brain and the data layer.
Drafting
Trained on your firm's templates, house style and compliance language. Engagement letters, management report commentary, GST covering letters, advisory memos, the reply to the client who wants to know why the tax bill went up. Proposals for new advisory work come out of the same layer. The brain drafts, a senior reviews, and it goes out in a fraction of the time.
Client briefs
For every client meeting in the calendar, it pulls the file, last year's numbers, recent emails and open queries, and lands a one-page brief in the accountant's inbox an hour before. After the meeting it writes the notes and the action list.
Billing chase
Reads Xero, tracks every fee invoice and runs a polite, then firmer, sequence in the firm's voice. Debtor days come down, and the partners stop chasing their own clients for money.
The install is the Foundation: the AI brain, the data layer and the first AI workforce, in three weeks, owned by the firm from handover, code, IP and documentation included. More layers follow as the firm needs them: onboarding for new clients, internal Q&A for the juniors, whatever the diagnostic surfaces. After handover the whole install is kept polished, which is our name for AI training, optimisation, implementation and support as the work changes.

From 80 hours of reporting to two hours of review.
Ian runs AVIT Properties in London. His monthly portfolio reporting took 80 hours: data pulled from email, utility accounts and Google Drive, then reconciled by hand. We installed the data and drafting layers. Two weeks after the install the report ran end to end, and his part became two hours of final review. It is the same shape as a month-end in any practice: gather, reconcile, draft, review.
“80 hours of solo grind compressed into a couple of hours of final review. The work I thought no one else could touch is now handled by a system trained on the way I think.”
Xero does the books. ChatGPT doesn't know your clients.
AI bookkeeping already lives in the ledger: Xero and the other platforms code transactions and suggest matches, and that is useful. It stops at the books. ChatGPT and Claude used directly are capable writers that don't know your clients, your templates, last year's file or who owes what. The Foundation sits across all of it, reads the systems the firm already uses, and is trained on your firm specifically.

Questions accounting firms ask.
It does the routine work around the advice. It drafts engagement letters, covering letters and report commentary, answers the routine client questions in tax season, prepares a brief before each client meeting and writes the notes after, and chases overdue fees. A senior reviews anything that reaches a client.
No. It prepares the workpaper notes, the query list and the drafts. A person in the firm reviews, files and lodges. The line is set during the Intensive and written into the install.
The install reads the systems the firm already runs, under the firm's own accounts, with access set by role the way your staff access is. Client material isn't pasted into public tools. The detail is agreed in writing before anything is connected.
If the problem were one missing tool, software would do. Most firms we talk to have the tools and still have senior people doing routine work. That is a diagnosis job first, which is what our AI consulting covers.
Yes. AI for accountants in NZ is built and installed from Auckland, and Australian firms are installed remotely. GST periods, tax years and client expectations differ across the Tasman, and the install is set to your side of it.
The first step is the AI Strategy Intensive: $797, two hours one-to-one with Titus, a written audit and plan, money-back, and credited in full to a build. The build itself is scoped during the Intensive, so the number fits the firm rather than a tier.
